Scare tactics just don’t work anymore. When we were briefed by Transport for New South Wales to stop drivers and pedestrians from rushing to the other side at level crossings, Jake Ausburn and I took a different approach. Traveling to the end of the line, we interviewed real train drivers about the effect near misses have had on them.
